We offer different types of dog fence materials and dog fence kits. There are some options based on your budget and the size of the dog fence you're building. You can pair your dog fence kit with any one of our dog fence gates to enter and exit your enclosure or create a pull back entrance using materials within each kit.

There are a few different choices to make when planning your fence:
1) How high of a dog fence kit do I need so my dog won't jump out? Some customers can use a 4 foot fence because their dogs are trained well enough not to jump over barriers, or they have smaller dogs. The standard sizes for dog enclosures are from 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 feet tall.
2) Will my dog chew the fence to try and get out? In most cases, no, but in some cases yes. There are kits consisting of straight poly mesh, a combination of poly and metal, and also all metal mesh. Poly mesh itself has a minimum of 600lbs of breaking strength per square foot. It's strong enough to walk on or run into (and bounce off). For this reason, it's great for pets because they won't get hurt. It's also very easy to work with because it's flexible. It also looks great in the backyard because it's almost invisible from a distance, unlike chain link fencing or conventional fence. Straight poly mesh is what most customers chose in a dog fence kit. It has an average lifespan of over 15 years.
Next, we combine poly mesh with a chew barrier base. The base material has a steel core and is also black PVC coated to match. It's also not very visible from a distance and adds additional protection from chewing. Note: some overly agressive dogs may even chew the metal base material. One option could be to start with a standard poly dog fence kit and add a roll of chew barrier base later on if your dog does start to chew. Chew base material is found here: metal dog fence
Lastly, we have straight 1" opening black PVC coated steel core dog fence kits. This is the same metal in the combination poly/metal kits only full length. The metal mesh is rated for 25+ years.
3) Is my dog a digger? Maybe or maybe not. When we first started installing this type of fencing for customers, we would bury the fence mesh. We found, however, that once a dog starts to dig they tend to keep going until they get under. The solution was to overlap fence mesh (6" approximately) and stake it to the ground flared to the inside so when dogs walk up to the fence, they're standing on fence material. This prevents them from digging to begin with. Included with each kit are enough stakes for one stake every 3 feet or so. This also prevents them from being able to push up under the fence and also covers changes in grade (little peaks and valleys in your lawn or yard area).
